It was mined from the Kollor Mine in the region of Guntur, India and it is AWESOME that it is simply on display for all to see right in the heart of DC. Exhibits are displayed on three large floors, some of the coolest things on display include Abraham Lincoln’s hat, the batmobile, and pieces of the berlin wall. There is a variety of awesome pieces of history scattered through this museum and is definitely worth a visit. There are interactive maps that will help you navigate the museum’s many buildings. If you happen to have the munchies, this museum also has one of the better cafeterias along the mall and can be a good pit stop during your museum tour.

The museum’s modern and contemporary wing is accessible via an underground light tunnel. The museum’s permanent collection comprises over 40,000 works by over 7,000 American artists. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

The exhibits at the USHMM cover a vast range of topics and events in the history of the Holocaust. The museum is organized chronologically so that you can find all the details of the happenings.
